History
According to the United States Census Bureau. Chula Vista is the 2nd most significant city in the San Diego metropolitan region and the 7th largest among the list of cities in Southern California. Chula Vista was given its name because of its beautiful area between San Diego Bay and the coastal mountain foothills of the California coast.
The Kumeyaay people lived in the area, which included San Diego, before contact with the Spanish, who eventually claimed the territory for the Spanish Empire. In 1821, Chula Vista officially became a member of the newly founded Mexican Empire, reconstituted two years later as the First Mexican Republic. During the Mexican–American War, California gained its independence and became a member of the United States in 1848.

According to the latest census in Chula Vista, an increase from 243,916 at the time of the 2010 census. Among them, 64.80% are white, 16.41% are Asian, 7.72% belong to other races, 5.44% are two or more races, 4.69% are African American, and 0.39% are Native American.
