History

Anza Vista  rests atop the old area of the San Francisco Calvary Cemetery, which was  cleansed of human remains and remapped for eight self-contained blocks of  homes following World War II. In the 1930s and 1940s, the graves were moved  to Colma. It happened after the burials were banned in 1902 to expand  available real estate.
